Ask for the arrangement you want, in words, and get it engraved.
Scoranger is a music score arrangement tool for iPad. Bring in a score, say what you want in plain English, and it rewrites the notation. “Keep the violins, turn the viola and cello into an accordion left hand, add chord symbols” is a real request it can carry out.
The arranging is done by real music software, not by a language model writing notes. The chat works out what you asked for and then calls the tools that do the work, so what comes back is correct notation rather than a guess at it. Every change makes a new version, and you can always go back.

Tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened, along
with the version you are on. The version is in Settings
under About, and looks like v0.11.0 · b200. If a
particular piece is involved, say which, and at which bar.
Scoranger is a small operation, so a reply may take a few days.
What Scoranger can take in
| MusicXML | The best kind of file to bring. .musicxml, .xml, .mxl |
| MIDI | Comes in as notation. Expect to tidy the rhythms. |
| ABC | Tunes from sites like thesession.org. |
| Read and mark it up, or convert it into editable notation. | |
| Photos | A picture of a page, which can also be converted. |
Open a file from Files, drop it on the app, or send it over with the share sheet from another app.
Questions people ask first
Do I need an account?
No. Scoranger works fully without one. Your library lives on your iPad.
Sign in only if you want to share a set list with other people.
Does it work offline?
Almost entirely. Importing, arranging, engraving, playback, pencil marks
and export all run on the iPad with no network. Two things need one: the
chat, and converting a scan into editable notation.
I imported a PDF and cannot edit the notes.
A PDF is a picture of music until it is read. Open it and tap
Make editable. The page goes to our server, comes back as
notation, and then behaves like any other score.
The conversion got things wrong.
It will, sometimes. Reading printed music automatically is good on clean
engraved pages and much weaker on handwriting, faint photocopies, dense
piano scores, and anything photographed at an angle. Check the result
against the original before you rely on it.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete my account. It tells
you what will happen to each shared set list before you confirm. Your
library stays on your iPad either way.
